X+K rJMi THE BAPTIST STUDENT UNION is the Baptist Church ministering to the college community. The BSU at Northwestern came into being in 1927 and is sponsored by the Southern Baptist Convention. In its membership are all of the Baptist students on campus. It functions to remind each student of his responsibility to Christ, his church and his denomination, and of his obligation as a Christian citizen to the world in which he lives. The Baptist Student Union strives to deepen the spiritual lives of its members by enlisting them in the activities of the local Baptist churches. Pictured on these pages are members of the Executive, Freshman, and Sophomore Councils. 16
