NOB ANSON, Instructor in Business Admin- istration, holds a B.S. degree from North Michigan College of Education and an M.A. from the Uni- versity of Michigan. MISS WILMA A. ERNST, Associate Professor of Commerce, with pen in hand, looks as if she is about to start grading an accounting paper. Be- sides trying to make heads or tails of some of the sheets of Figures she grades and teaching her other classes, Miss Ernst sponsors Delta Sigma and Theta Phi Beta. She has a B.S. degree from Okla- homa College for Women and a Masters in Com- mercial Education from the University of Okla- homa. She has been a faculty member since 1940. MISS FLORENCE LEDFORD is serving her sec- ond year at N,S.C. as an Instructor in Commerce. Her schedule includes typing and shorthand.

W. S. VANCE, Professor of Eng- lish is relatively new at Northwest- ern. Coming in 1946, Mr. Vance has since taught a full schedule of English courses as well as being a sponsor of the Ranger Annual the last two years. He has an A.B. de- gree from Baylor Universityg an A.M. from Harvard University and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. MISS GLADYS JULIAN, Assist- ant Professor of English, came to Northwestern in 1945. Miss Julian has an A.B. degree from North- western State College and an M.A. from George Peabody College. MISS BENNIE HENRY has been Assistant Professor of English since 1938. Her degrees of study in- clude an A.B. from the University of Oklahoma and an M.A. from Columbia University. Miss Henry is also a sponsor of the Ranger Annual. DAVID E. MACKIE is serving his second year on the faculty as an instructor in English and Journal- ism.
