L DR. THOMAS C. CARTER DR. THOMAS C. CARTER, Dean of Admin- istration and Professor of Biology rules the roost when it comes to the question of who has been at N.S.C. the longest. Dr. Carter, who began his position back in 1908, is partic- ularly known for his bits of class humor and his ever-ready smile. As Dean of Administra- tion, he is confronted with many problems which he capably takes care of. Dr. Carter is a graduate of Northwestern State College and received his M.A. degree from Colorado State Teachers College and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin.

DR. ANNA B. FISHER has held the position of Professor of Biology since 1927. Cheerful and energetic, Dr. Fisher is always interested in a new or rare bug or anything concerned with biology. She received her A.B. degree from the University of California, Berkeleyg her M.S. from the University of Chicago and her Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma. MISS BESS M. CHAPPELL, Professor of Art, has been a faculty member since 1945. Judging from the books and papers on her desk, one might presume that Miss Chappell has just completed preparation for a lecture class. Miss Chappell has a B.S. degree from N.E.
