Front Row: Braly, Arnold, Tidwell, Covalt, Robertson, Lucas, Henderson. pLUDENT COUNCIL } eaicaanias of the Student Council during the year of 1947-48 began early in the first semester. At Homecoming the council spon- sored the Queen Contest; after football and basketball games dances were arranged for the benefit of college students, with neighboring highschool students as guests; the annual Sadie Hawkins week was successfully staged, as well as the Mardi Gras Gayeties and the Spring Festival dance. All in all it was a busy year, in addition to acting as an entertainment source for the college, the council served as a go-be- tween for students and school officials.

CUSTODIANS Essie ARE the men in whose care the buildings and grounds of the campus have been entrusted. In the years to come we can look back and remember these men as probably the busiest employees of the college. Although some of their work was unnoticed at the time it was none the less appreciated by the students.
