GOLF Fzrst row Krueger Weed Hull Smith Rauch Second row Shepard Lundquist Heller Busse Anderson Dunkel Vanderkloot Top Coach Stegner Fore' And another ball curves into the sand trap Possibly that was the golf teams trouble this year At any rate the teams record at the end of the season stood at I win 2t1es, and 4 losses Mr Stevner the club pro had some good team material in Wally Smith Terry Hull, Barry Weed Georve Rauch and Johnny Kroeger but somehow the breaks were just against them Even the weather interfered by falfllllg out a few games The team loved going to practice in their open alr limousine except when lt rained' The team s solitary w1n was avalnst Beloit Catholic Two losses were suffered ln playmg against Lake Forest Other teams played were St Johns St Marys and Delawan Many of the team practiced on the 7 hole pitch and putt course on the south campus. Of course, water wings were required after a rain. Perhaps next sea- son things will be a bit rosier for the N.M. N.A. dubbers and slicers!
