At the crack of dawn, before we are even out of bed, the Northwestern Lehigh cooks and custodians are already at school busily opening up the building. The bus drivers have the task of driving all the students to and from school. They get up early in the morning and come to school. They also are the ones who put up with all the talking on the buses. Bus drivers have the tension of getting all the students to school safely, while the roads are icy and slippery. Could you imagine coming to a cold, dark school with no heat and no electricity? The maintenance men are responsible for our warm and lighted school. They also make sure that the bleachers are pulled out for activities and assemblies. . THEY KEEP IT TOGETHER , . ALWAYS ON THE JOB, BUT NOT ALWAYS REOOONIZED Carl D. Snyder George F. Southworth President Vice-President Always on the job, but not always recognized. This is an accurate description of Northwestern Lehigh's School Board. There are many people behind the scenes whose thoughts, ideas, projects, and plans reach out to the student every day. Much is being done to improve the quality of education at Northwestern Lehigh. The president of the School Board is most successful in guiding the School Board members. With the help of the School Board, we are bound to see some beneficial results in the future. Willard A. Kistler Forrest A. Wessner Jr. Secretary Treasurer SCHOOL BOARD - ROW 1, Carl Betz, Gene E. THEY MAKE IT HAPPEN Preparing lunch for 1000 people is no easy task, just try peeling a thousand carrots or baking a thousand cookies. There has never been a day when anyone has been turned away from the lunch line due to a lack of food. The kitchen staff prides itself on the variety and nutrition of our meals. Imagine what Northwestern Lehigh would look like if no one swept the floors, washed the windows, or emptied the trashy unbelievable!! It takes a lot of elbow grease and ingenuity to keep the building this size clean and intact. Mechanics make sure all the buses are in running order. The buses must be able to withstand all types of weather. We must take the time to thank the mechanics for keeping the buses in a safe, riding condition.
