But when you're with some other ones lt's stranger still to find Your thoughts as thick as fireflles All shiny in your mind! There isn't time, there isn't time To do the things I want to do, With all the mountain-tops to climb And all the woods to wander through. And all the seas to sail upon, And everywhere there is to go, And all the people, everyone Who lives upon the earth to know. There's only time, There's only time To know a few, and do a few, And sit down and make a rhyme About the rest I want to do. . . 1, Steph Wessner working with Mr, Frey in the new computer roon 2. Even though it was raining slightly it didn't dampen our spirits for an exciting evening. The prom was held at the Ambassador Restaurant on the night of April 24, 1981. Couples danced to the music of Apogee. The highlight of the evening was the crowning of Denise Wenhold as the 1981-82 prom queen by Kelly Snyder, the 1980-81 prom queen. The court consisted of: Diane Carls Kevin Hamm JoAnne Davitt Brian Dietrich Debra Dudeck Scott Jensen Collette Frisch Mark Fenstermacher Heidi Greenawalt Michael Bagenstose Heidi Hawryluk Frederick Tomasko Donna Sacks Corey Gerhart Elizabeth Spangler Mark Murray Denise Wenhold James Shade st Pwr mea wmvmmwf- KU I. i V-1 -1. ai K55' :eEs:f ::., . It is designed to allow students in grades ten through twelve to actually go into the working field. Students in this program goto school for a half a day, either morning or afternoon, and goto their job for the other half. Meetings are held once a week during school hours for these students. Here Mrs. Koenig prepares them for interviews and also how to express themselves to their employer. l 37 CAST Mark Nagle Brad Bachman Scott Jensen Jim Fluck Amanda Sittler Dean Kain Jim Shade Wendy Schaffer John Bernhart Lucy Bex Corey Gerhart Tony Major Marit Norborg Paul Tipa Lisa Padamonsky Sloan Wertman Waiter Villard Candi Steward Donna Meitzler Cindy Bauer Doris Delp Linda Heath Kevin Hamm John Yen Denise Wenhold Tom Supp Valerie Borman Natalie Krause Tammy Cappuccino Tracie Eschelman Michelle Miller Phyllis Knerr Barbara Kunkel Gene Jackson Dennis Schwartz Todd Bliss Duane Bailey Troy Behrig Frank Handwerk Jim Komand Wendy Hein Bonnie Kline John Boisitz Steve Hottenstein Chris Evangelista Donna Major Jodi Silfies Cheryl Staudt LIL' ABNER On November 20 and 21 of 1981, the Senior Class presented the first musical in the history of Northwestern, LIL' ABNER. Under the expert direction of Mrs. Shirlene Silfies, Mrs. Marilyn Demaree, Mr. John Bernhart, and Jonathan Sittler the play was a huge success and highly enjoyable. It was the story of the citizens of Dogpatoh trying to save their town, of Daisy's attempt to marry Abner, of General Bullmoose's attempts to get his hands on the secret of Yokum Berry Tonic, and of a typical day in Dogpatch. All the exciting adventures of every citizen. W , A Vo-Tech is an extension of the secondary schools in the Lehigh Valley. It is open to all tenth through twelfth grade students who want to be prepared for the world of work. lt is required that all sophomores go through the Multi-Occupational Experience Program QMOEJ . The next two years are spent in the specialty wing. This will be where the student has decided what lab he or she will specialize in to help them in their future career. Those students who attend Vo-Tech spend a half a day there while the other half is spent at the home school with classes that they are required to take. Vo-Tech offers many careers from cosmetology and mechanics to commercial art and drafting. Like the home school, Vo-Tech has a student council which is open to anyone. This allows for the whole student body to get involved as one. Report cards are issued quarterly along with the home school. Vo-Tech students take pride in their work and have, therefore, established a long-lasting reputation at Vo-Tech. VARSITY FOOTBALL The 1981 Varsity Football Team is truly a team to be remembered. They not only started off the season under the pressure of game competition, but another task was at hand. They had to save football at Northwestern. From August to November, through the heat and then the cold, 29 young men strived towards this goal. But the months of hard work paid off. At the end of the season these dedgated athletes became a team of champions. We were proud to have these young men represent our school and we would like to wish the 1982 team Good Luck for their upcoming season. THE 1982 REVERIE STAFF 6' 25TH ANNIVERSARY CF YEARBOOK This year's yearbook staff has worked hard to accomplish this book. Yearbook requires a lot of time to get things done and patience to do things correctly. Cooperation is needed from the fellow staff members as well as with the school itself. People do not understand the amount of ef- fort each person must put forth for things to work. There are new things to be learned along with the fun. But with the fun also comes pressure. The staff is faced with this when it comes to deadlines which have to be met. Along with deadlines to be met, the staff must plan layouts, write copies, type, and crop pictures. With the help of all fellow staff and students the yearbook has been a success in condensing the memories from your high school days onto these pages. This year is also special because it is the 25th anniversary of the staff and production of the yearbook. Congratulations to the work well done in all the years. if , K i H' V A 1 .
