However, they went done to de- feat at the hands of Salem, bring- ing the season to an end with the title ofrunner-up in the dis- trict. Track Squad Northwestern copped top honors again in 1954 by winning the county track meet for the third consecutive year. Although they did not boast an outstanding season record, the War- rior squad finished first among the five county schools by nipping Northeastern 64 213 to 57 U3 in the final meet. Lowell Snider led the scoring with 18 points. The track men are: front row, Leonard Jones, Jerry Hoberty, Jim Hupp, Francis Herzog, Lowell Snider, Roger Baker, Bob Leonard. Back row, Stanley Rowell, Roger Kaffenbarger, Dick Patton, Tom Herzog, Roger Bald- win, David Summers, Roger Wagner, Jim Hoberty, and Manager Larry Fout. 74
