Through adversity, we learned that as a family, a team can move mountains. Our footall Dynasty began last year and moved forward this year with much enthusiasm from the players, fans, and most importantly our newly founded Wildcat football Club. This year the Wildcats finished with a 4 and 5 season, the best record since 1979. We missed a 6 and 3 season by 9 points, losing one game by a field goal and another by a late touchdown. The underclassmen played a very Impor- tant role in this success and should be congratulated. In conclusion, we would like to express our gratitude to the underclassmen for giving us memories we will never forget. We leave you with this final thought • Victory doesn't always go to the stronger or the faster man. but In the end. it goes to the man who thinks he can. On our schedule this year we hac 18 league games and 4 independent tilts To reach our goal of making the playoffs wc needed to finish with a .500 overall record and we had to be one of the top two AAA teams in the league. With the fierce competition that the Erie County League provided this would be no easy task. From the very first practice we all worked very hard with great determination, hustle, and desire. We gave our all and had a great time doing It. This past season will be an experience which I'm sure no team member will forget. Next year we will miss the seniors Larry Podluzne. Scott Young. Despite Illnesses and Injuries that have plagued the Lady Cats since the start of the season, this year’s team has proven Itself to be the best one ever. Having played four years together already, the four starting seniors helped the Lady Cats to take opposing top teams to the Anal minutes of their games. Upon injuring her knee part-way through the season. Sue Walchack was forced to give up her position and cheer the team on from the sidelines. This left our Junior varsity and varsity teams with a total of only eleven players, but thanks to the strong dedica- tion of each Individual player, the teams remained tough and competitive through- out the year. Much credit and congratula- tions are due to Jackie Wheeler for breaking the career-high records In both scoring and rebounding. Goodbye and good luck to this year's seniors. We hope to come back again next year with another strong team, aided by the experience of this year’s one Junior and one sophomore starter. The faculty and students at Northwestern should be proud of those few people who took it upon themselves to devote much time and effort to doing the best job possible. This effort and dedication has provided many people with a book of rememberance that they will cherish more and more throughout the years. It is fitting that we extend special thanks to Bob McCiymonds and the Albion Mews for providing us with many of the sporting event pictures. Thank You 143 mWALS WORTH PUBLISHING COM PA N Y
