Those of us who have watched you grow and develop over a span of twelve years wish tor you a good lite. We shall be ever interested in not only WHAT you do, but also HUW you do it. We would adrnonish you to be unafraid of adversity, problems, challenges, also, we would urge you to be on guard that success does not warp your personality or ruin your character. We shall be looking forward to seeing you often. Charles C. Gilbert Supervising Principal THE QUOTATION YOUTH IS A WONDERFUL THING, IT IS TOO BAD THAT IT IS WASTED ON YOUNG PEOPLE, IS CER- TAINLY A WELL-KNOWN ONE, HOWEVER, I SHOULD LIKE TO DIRECT A SPECIAL MEANING FOR IT TO YOU, THE GRADU- ATES OF 1968. HAD YOUR YOUTH BEEN WASTEDeYOU MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR EDUCATION TO DATE, YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN SO WELL PREPARED FOR THE FUTURE, AND YOU CERTAINLY COULD NOT BE SO FILLED WITH NEW IDEAS, BOUNDLESS ENERGY, AND HIGH AMBI- TIONS FOR A SUCCESSFUL LIFE. NO, YOUR YOUTH HAS NOT BEEN WASTED BECAUSE YOU HAVE USED IT WISELY, AND WHEN I LOOK AT THE WORLD SITUATION TODAY, I AM THANKFUL THAT YOUTH WAS MADE FOR THE YOUNG. THEREFORE, I OFFER YOU MY SINCERE WISHES FOR HAPPI' NESS AND SUCCESS AS WELL AS THIS BIT OF HOMELY ADVICE- 4STAY YOUNG AND SUCCEED. Darwin C.
