We, the class of 1962 of Northwestern High School, County of Erie, and State of Bewilderment, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, and realizing that we are about to pass into oblivion along with those of numerous previous classes who have infested the corridors of our beloved school, do hereby pronounce this to be our last will and testament and do declare all former bequests null and void. We would like to emplant in Mr. Gilbert’s mind the idea of a shorter school day. Wouldn’t it be nice on your part to remember this, the best class in the Nation’s history by giving the classes to follow a shorter day as a token of your gratitude to us. Our holidays also seem a little too short and a little too far apart. To our teachers we hereby relinquish our entire store of knowledge. From them it came and to them it should be returned that others may be benefited by it as we have been. We also bequeath them a liberal an- nuity of examination papers to grade, notebooks to examine and averages to compute; also our valuable sense of humor, without which we would have found school life painful indeed, and w-hich will do much to make it endurable for them. To the Junior Class we leave the following: Our seats; occupy them, but do not even TRY to fill them. The examination questions we have been given during the past year. We believe that an examination, like history, often repeats itself. We regret that the answers have long since been mislaid and therefore, cannot be included in this legacy. Last, we leave all the mistakes we have made, all the knowledge we have failed to acquire, and any boys and girls whom we may have left behind in our haste. Finally, to Mr. Molsky our wonderful class advisor, we would like to wish him the best of luck in his future classes. May he find another class that will be half as good as our class to work with. Don’t try too hard to do this, Mr. Molsky, because there is not and never will be even a shadow' to our shining example. In witness whereof we, the class of 1962, the testator, have set our hand and seal on this twenty-ninth day of May in the year of 1962. CLASS OF ’62. the light of our example was shining so bright the ones we did have could not read the will. In nine short weeks one finds it hard to see all the interesting places in such a fascinating country. It was an experience that I will never forget. I wish to thank not only the American Field Service but all those who made my trip possible. I am extremely proud to have been selected to represent Northwestern High School in the A.F.S. program.
