The students who competed in Saginaw for the State Regionals were Kathy Charles, Vera Lowery, and Twila Leather- man. Kathy Charles was the only one out of the three to go to the state finals, which were held in Dearborne, Michigan. The contents of the final were: Advertising Service, Apparel and Accessories, Finance and Credit, Good Marketing, Good Service, General Merchandising and Petroleum Marketing Methods. The Pom-Pom Squad danced for many of our home basketball games including performances at the I.M.A. This exciting group of young ladies worked hard during after school practices bringing expert entertainment and pride to the NW fans. Faculty sponsor was Mrs. Ida Mumford. Officers for the squad were Captain, Teresa Felder, Co-captains Rita Purchase and Narotha Ogden. Other squad members were Treba Colbert, Micheal Williams, Patricia Cuningham, Lila Hawthorne, Kim Richards, Jackie Sims, Wanda Sims and LeEthal Strickland.
