Beacon Staff Beacon Staff members include: Sue Alderink Sherrie Wilson-Editor Nancy Durband Sheila Wynveen Jane Van Beek Sandy Ruter Caroline Boender Dave Clover Mr. Holland, adviser Paul Delger Brian Voss Two groups which are responsible for the student publications on Northwestern's campus are the Beacon and De Klompen staffs. The Beacon is the college newspaper published every other week. It has been used this year by students and faculty alike to air their views and just to keep up on campus happenings. The De Klompen staff is the group responsible for this yearbook. They worked this year, as in years past, to catch some of the special moments of 1976-77 to remember and enjoy. Membership is open to all who have a special interest in music. Majors and minors in the field are encouraged to join. is perhaps one of the largest organizations ampus, that is one involving the most people. S.C.F. is headed by a group of students by concerned members on campus and people help to lead Bible study groups and teams organized on and off campus. are open to any and all students. The S.C.F. sponsors Maranathas every other Sunday at 9:00 at the Union dorm and includes singing, sharing, and speakers from the community and other brothers and sisters Christ. Kappa Alpha EpsHon Kappa Alpha Epsilon members include: Mr. Ben Wiese, adviser Chuck Merriam Char Ten Clay Linda De Roon Viv Neville Karen Huyser Mary Hight Joyce Buys Merry Vriesen i Dr. Steve Cobb, adviser Membership to the Kappa Alpha Epsilon club is open to sociology majors, sociology career concentrations, and those interested in sociology. The club meets once a month and the activities vary among guest lecturers, vocational guidance, field trips, films, fellowship sessions, and planning travel seminars. Chi Rho's purpose is to encourage the exploration of the variety of opportunities available in Christian serviceg to look at the nature of the whole church's life and its task in the world: to provide frank, open context for fellowship, questioning, and sharing the implications of professional Christian service, and to generate an outward-looking, outward-reaching life based on commitment to Christ and the creation.
