International Club International Club members include: Dr. Howard Killion Rosalinda Go Ong Bassma Khoury Tsunehiro Takase Margo Slickers Josephine Wang Norimichi Odate Yoshiko Sugiyama John Moerman Barb Weiss Jeanne Moerman Susan Harbers Sharon Rau Glorene Wallace Kiyoko Shibuya Dr. Lyle Vander Werff Hanni Hanna Awad Samuel Fanta The primary purpose of the club is to help international students understand and adjust to American culture and society. American students and faculty who have lived abroad are eligible to be associate members of the club. The big event of the year is the International Dinner which is entirely arranged and presented by the club. It attracts an array of faculty, students, and invited 7-5 l A townspeople. This occasion, perhaps more than any other, allows the club to express themselves and expose the campus to the excitement of life in other lands. -nhzz. J 'L-8 ' a ,Q Phi Beta Lambda is the business club at NW. Its primary purpose is to futher interact in and participate in business activities. lt works hard at promoting interaction between the college student and the business community. Anyone with an interest in business is invited and urged to join. One of the major involvements each year is state and national competitions in all areas of business skills and knowledge. P.E. Majors gl Minors Club Representing the club in this picture are: Kevin Veldhorst Deb Rauwerdink Doyle Johnson Rob Van't Land Gary Brumels The P.E. Majors gl Minors club this year gave all those men and women who had either majors or minors in Physical Education a chance to meet together, discuss, and learn about information concerning their future profession. Noon luncheons were held throughout the year featuring discussions, films, and speakers. Fellowship of Christian Athletes fF.C.A.J is an organization open to all athletes fmen and wornenj on campus. This year F.C.A. sponsored a Halloween haunted house and also sold popcorn balls at home football games to raise money. Regular meetings were held, giving each member a chance to grow spiritually and witness as a NW athlete. F.C.A. Membership is open to all who have a special interest in music. Majors and minors in the field are encouraged to join. is perhaps one of the largest organizations ampus, that is one involving the most people. S.C.F. is headed by a group of students by concerned members on campus and people help to lead Bible study groups and teams organized on and off campus. are open to any and all students. The S.C.F. sponsors Maranathas every other Sunday at 9:00 at the Union dorm and includes singing, sharing, and speakers from the community and other brothers and sisters Christ. They also sponsor incoming groups such Truth. S.C.F. and its members try to unify the .C.F. stands for Student Christian Fellowship C . :ampus and to provide the spiritual growth needed S.C.F.
