The team was composed of only one junior, the remainder of the team being freshmen and sophomores — a prom¬ ise of continued success in the future. A highlight of the season was a trip to Texas, which resulted in a 6-0 cham¬ pionship at the LeTourneau Invitational tournament. Women ' s Volfeyball 29

Young Team Goes Places The Eagles had a rough start; how¬ ever, as the season progressed, the team improved and gained more confi¬ dence in themselves. They ended the season with an 8-7-1 record. The unity of the team was a major ingredient to their success. Internal conflicts were few while the support and oneness were tremendous. Mike Cameron attributed much of their success to Coach Gunderson stating that he gave them “a new and different perspective of the game. He taught them how to prepare psycho¬ logically for the game; he gave them a vision to strive for, and he demonstrate ed the techniques. The team was young this year with 50 percent rookies. The team devel¬ oped well together and Coach Gunder¬ son sees a massive potential for next year. The Eagles had a vision to go places and they did. Their pregame motto was “EDO THA GINEI O TAFOS SAS (this place is going to be your grave). 30 Soccer
