Leadin g the conference with a 4-2 record, the Eagles had hopes of going to the Mid¬ west Bowl. They fell short of their goal in the final weeks of their season, los¬ ing by only one point to Concordia and Mt. Senario, The eight seniors inspired a strong spiritual emphasis on the team, with Dave Gustafson, Jean Almquist and Brian Taubert leading their team as tri- captains. The team was composed of only one junior, the remainder of the team being freshmen and sophomores — a prom¬ ise of continued success in the future. A highlight of the season was a trip to Texas, which resulted in a 6-0 cham¬ pionship at the LeTourneau Invitational tournament. Women ' s Volfeyball 29
