Northwestern Christens the Dawn Treader Oct. 28-Nov, 5 marked an exciting event for the Drama Department. It was the premiere of an original adap¬ tation of C.S. Lewis ' Voyage of the Dawn Treader from the Chronicles of Narnia series. Wayne Olson (playwright), Kevin Norberg (composer), and Carol Thom¬ as (director) combined their talents along with the cast of forty members to make it a successful voyage. The musical is an adult fairytale de¬ picting three children, Eustace (Brian Dobson), Lucy (Denita Johnson), and Edmund (Tim Reed) on a fantasy ad¬ venture in the Narnian seas. Subdued by dilemmas, they overcome them with the help of Aslan, the lion ruler. A. Edmund {Tim Reed), Lucy EPentla Johnson), and Caspian (Craig King) meet the Slave Trad- ers {Jay Perske, Lance Witt, Dalen Johnson, and Scott Peterson) on Fellowmoore island. 5. Eagles Sail To Victory Homecoming ’03 is remembered as an exciting time when the alumni, stu¬ dents, and faculty united in pleasure of celebration, “Sail On 1 ' , the Homecom¬ ing theme, was expressed by “dress like you’re on a cruise day and by the lounge displays in the residences. Thursday night (Oct. 13) found Karin Heng receiving the honor of Miss Northwestern. Friday, the formal ban¬ quet was held followed by the Cruse Family concert. Although the weather was dismal on Saturday, the Homecoming spirit was not dampened as fans cheered the football and soccer teams to victories. 20 Homecoming
