Come over , and help us. Not the call of the anciem Macedonians, but a call which resounded in the ears of Dr W. B. Riley more than fifty years ago; a call which prompted the begin¬ ning of a good work later to become our Northwestern Schools, A desire for a deeper knowledge of the Word; a desire to be trained so as to more effectively win men to the Lord Jesus Christ; a desire that would not be stilled — these prompted the continuation of what had been but a small beginning and led into the organiza¬ tion of a Bible and Missionary Training School. The knowledge of this good work spread across the country. More came that they, too, might be trained. Many caught the vision of a need on the foreign field, and ships sailing across the wafers soon carried those who had answered the call go ye into all the world. As the group increased, the call was intesified: come over . helps us, The cry for evangelical pastors prompted an expansion of the early work and the addition of a Theological Seminary wherein might be taught the truths found in the Word of God to those who would add to their preparation. Churches whose doors had been barred for lack of a paster were opened; new fields wherein a seed had been planted were made fruitful. Still another voice spoke to our founder. Young people were seeking college training. The world about them demanded that they prepare thoroughly for their place in life whether that be as a teacher, a business man, an office worker. Again, after days and months of waiting upon the Lord, Dr. Riley began another good work — a Liberal Arts College which has become second to none and wherein young people of today may continue in the academic field of their choice taught by a consecrated faculty. A good work has been begun and through a leadership dedi¬ cated to the Lord, we are confident that it will continue even unto the day of Jesus Christ.
