Foreword The locked door--the opened doorg what is the difference? A Key. This year at N.N.C. we have been gathering keys: keys of knowledege, of spiritual growth, of skill and of friendship. These keys must never become rusty or forgotten but must become Worn from use. The purpose of a key is to open doors. Many closed doors await us but these will swing open as our keys are used. Each key will unlock its especial door. Never will our key ring be full. One more door to be opened by one more keyg this is our task.

NNC's Key to the Future Toward Campus Plateau I9 O As N.N.C. concludes her fifty-second year of continuous existence, she looks ahead to as steep and breathtaking a climb as she has ever known. By 1970, please God, she will have, perhaps for the first time, a complete campus with all its facilities of standard or better quality. On that plateau, Where she may pause for a moment of review and reflection, she will have a seven million dollar campusg a student body of 12005 a faculty of sixty, at least SOLZJ with doctorates, book holdings of 70,000 volumes, a superior educational program blending scholarship and spirituality. Welcome to the climb with its Weary muscles, its labored breathing, its soul in- spiring sights, and its joy of achievement! Welcome, oncoming thousands of students who will live and learn here and then go out with intelligent discipline to serve! Wel- come, graduates of yesteryear, whose prayer and support encourage us on! Welcome, parents, pastors, businessmen, and all our friends! Welcome to the climb! JOHN E. RILEY President Always a gracious and lovely first lady, Mrs. Riley wins the hearts of all who meet her. She can always be seen bustling around the campus, keep- ing an eye on its many activities.
