Some call them rat holes: some call them hell holes, but we at Northwest are sometimes forced to call them home - THE DORMSI It's true, some dorms are worse than others, but a cramped room is a small price to pay for the education Northwest offers. Dorm life also provides some of the best times a college can offer. Face it, how many dorms do you know that underwent a sex change? This year, Tate Hall was converted from a women's residence hall to a men's dormitory. And the fun we had. Guys in girls' rooms: girls in guys' rooms. Oh sure, it was against the rules but that made it more fun. Open dorm policies were established two nights during Ranger Week, but a lack of communication between students and policy-makers caused confusion. Only Northwest students were allowed in the room, and persons who had traveled many miles were turned away. However, it was the late night talk sessions, card games, decorating for Homecoming and Christmas, and unfortunately, squabbles with roommates, that made dorm life a real adventure. Inf .
