Hall of Fame Chosen by vote of the faculty and staff, the five sophomores of the 1972-1973 Hall of Fame are recipients of the highest honor students can attain at Northwest. Emphasis on the selection of the 1972-1973 Hall of Fame is on scholastic achievement. Other factors in the determination are participation in campus and community activities, qualities of leadership and integrity, and contribution to the ideals and obiectives of the college. Each has had a consistent grade point average of above 3.5 of a possible 4 points, qualifying him for the President's List of Scholars for three semesters. Also nominated for the Hall of Fame were Martha Ashe, Carla Roach, Otis Sanford, Susan Shelley Clark, John Henry Coving- ton, Conchita Crawford, Joe Nunnally, Terry Thomas, Jan Dew- bre, Carla Ferguson, Becky Flowers, Linda Davis King, Gregg Freeman, Dan Harris, Mitzi Jones, Susan Snell, Charlene White, and Rita Darby. He is also president of the Science Club and a member of the Bilingual Club, Phi Theta Kappa, and the Student Government Association Senate. SHARON NELMS, Ileftj a major in general business, is president of the business organization Phi Beta Lambda and was selected outstanding student in business. Repre- senting the Northwest chapter as Miss Future Business Executive, she entered the state contest of Phi Beta Lambda. The coed is also reporter of Phi Theta Kappa and a member of the Student Government Association Senate, Sigma Tau Sigma, and Methodist Wes- ley Foundation. She is one of Northwest's representatives in the 1972-1973 Who's Who among Students in American Junior Colleges.
