BUrkS Twenty-three years ago, there came to Northwestern a man of rare ability and courage-one who never compromises with his sense of honor and integrity, who stands for those principles of truth which are innate in the mind of a great lover of science, and who is a sympathetic friend, a scholar and a gentleman. With him came his wife who has endeared herself to the students of North- west by her kindness, understanding, and genuine' interest in our problems. She is always ready to stop her work and offer a kind word or a guiding hand to those who need advice or encouragement. It is with pride and affection that we, the Staff, dedicate the 1960 Rocketeer to our Dean and Registrar, Mr. and Mrs. Marcus L. Burks.
