' We had a very successful season. I think Northwest is going to be a force to be reckoned with from now on. Three go to Omaha When spring comes, thoughts turn to track, one of the last sports of the year. Talent and attitude helped this years team gather two first place wins while achieving many other well earned placings. John Swanson managed to prove his ability by setting a new school record in the shot which qualified him for state along with Jeff Boeka in the shot and discus and Larry Brannagan in the 300 m low hurdles. I also felt that I should have hammered allilude more al the beginning of the year. Individually, there was great improvement, especially among the younger wrestlers. Golf Thrives With the continuation of the golf program, the undercktssmen showed potential and proved themselves to be competitive. The young Viking golfers have the seniors to thank for their inspiration. Next season shows promise with the underclassmen returning as well as this year ' s most consistent golfer. Ken Brand.
