Journalism Is Mad House Another busy year passed by lor Journalism. From getting the Saga out on time, to working on the yearbook. The patience and guidance of Mrs. Stevens helped us get through the year without any major problems and everyone ' s cooperation helped get things put together. During the summer we had four students go to a Journalism Camp in Fort Collins, Colorado for three days. In the fall the entire class took a tour through the Independent. For a final break we went to Stuhr Mu- seum for a picnic and a picture taking session. The class would like to thank Mrs. Stevens and ever- yone who helped out, for a successful year. Stu-Co Puts Power into NW The Student Council striked to make Northwest a better school. They did this by working with the students and faculty. Kelly Sems was this years president and she worked with her fellow representatives to plan dances for the students. They put flowers in the lockers of students for Valentines Day. To learn about the group they attended a clinic in Cozad. It ' s evident that they learned a lot by the way they worked to make Northwest a better .•ichool. State Champ DECA Wits very busy this year as they participated in many different fund raisers. Their biggest project was selling ads in the Jr. Miss Pagacnt Program. They also spent time studying for tests for the District and State Conventions. Sandy Kennedy placed in Appareal Accessories - Manager Owner and Brian Mustion placed in General Merchandise - Master Employee. Linda Wieczorek became NWs first State Champ after she placed first in General Merchandise, she will go to Anaheim, Ca. FRONT ROW; L-R: Brenda Bickford. Beth Roberts, Linda Wieczorek.
