A colophone is the part of the book set aside to tell hoiv the yearbook came about and the people who made it possible. Well, here ' s how this yearbook came about. While racking our brains trying to figure out what to use as a theme for the book. Lori Clark and I thought that to use Hagar the Horrible on the cover would be only fitting for Northwest. After a few calls to Al Schmahl at the Grand Island Independent we sat down and wrote a letter to Mr. Dik Browne, the creator of Hagar. We waited and waited for what seemed like an eternity for a reply but there was none. So we talked to Mr. Schmahl again and he gave us a different address to try. This time it worked. We got a reply. Mr. Browne wrote us a letter saying he was flattered that we had chosen to use Hagar for our yearbook and that Hagar is delighted since this will be his first time inside a school. I hope you enjoy it Hagar.
