Extra-curricular bustle, hurry, whirl Attracts Pioneers excess time, energy Extra-curricular activities at NHS range from the Conservation Club to the Lettermen's Club. The clubs this year grew, and the interests and member- ship of each club increased. New clubs were formed and they offered even more opportunity for fun and knowledge. There were approximately 361 Pioneers enrolled in seventeen clubs at NHS. Many clubs and organi- zations participated in city wide activities and helped set the pace for all the city high schools as well as for NHS. The parades, club sponsored school dances, plays, and dinners afforded the chance for clubs to make themselves known to all Pioneers. Yes, this year Northwest truly set the pace in activities. 39
