Dream of ro al crown Spotlights NHS dances At the climax of the yearbook sales campaign, the Vanguard staff had a Silver Leaves Dance. Decorations featured, naturally, were silver leaves. Lorrie Sands and Dennis Turner were chosen to reign. Other NHS queens include: Donna Lively who was chosen to represent NHS as Yards-Parks queen last spring. Joyce Beavers was elected this yearis Jamboree Queen and Princess of Light. Pep sessions are an extra, yet essential, part of school life. They bolster the spirit of the team and the students. Our pep sessions conducted in the gym, featured cheers, songs by the band, and speeches from the coaches. The NPT sponsored dances were reigned over by Tami Lane and Harrold Ballard, queen and king of the Mall. 24 Planning committees for the 2nd annual SOO Spinout began in March. Vanguard staff members worked to make this another pacesetter in '65. The Silver Leaves court was Tami Lane, Rod Smith, Linda Switzer, Denny Turner-Vanguard Boy, Lorrie Sands-Vanguard Girl, Bill

Music festivals gave the choir a chance to display their new robes as well as the talents of the whole music department.
