The National Honor Society Service, Leadership The purpose of the National Honor Society is to honor students who have excelled in academic work, demonstrated ability as s chool leaders, served the school, and displayed exemplary personality traits in school and community life. The Northwest High School Chapter held its in- duction c e r e m o n y on November 11, 1959, at which time eight seniors and four juniors were inducted into membership.
