MR. AND MISS NHS Kgle Copp Judg Green Mr. and Miss NHS are awards that cannot be achieved in a single year. Judy Green and Kyle Copp have devoted many hours and talents to merit this honor. Judg Green has been a very active student throughout her high school years. She was on the varsity basketball team, a varsity cheerleader, and in the Junior Play. She was the Secret Idol and nominated for football sweetheart her senior year. Kgle was especially involved in sports while in high school. He was on the varsity football , basketball , golf, track, and baseball teams. DEDICATION Mr. Gene Pike Junior High Principal Mr. Gene Pike was born in Sulphur Bluff, Texas where he attended elementary, junior high and high school, graduating in 1950. He attended East Texas State University and received his Bachelor of Science in 1955, his Master's Degree in 1959 and his Elementary and Secondary Prin- cipal Certification in 1962. He has also completed several hours toward a PhD in School Adminis- tration there . Mr. Pike has spent his entire working life in education with the exception of working on the family farm while growing up. After being Northwest's Junior High Principal since 1970 all who have come in contact with Mr. Pike know what a great person he really is. This was the first year the student body decided to whom the annual would be dedicated and Mr. Pike won this honor with a majority of the student vote .
