I Q DEDICATION Do you realize that the Seniors are the pioneers of this school? They had the first prom and backed the first Student Councilg most of all they have been our leaders, the people we admire and look to for guidance and direc- tion. Now they are to be our first graduating class, the first to cross the threshold of our school into a new frontier where they will take up the roles of active citizens. In that vast new society, they again will set the example. We owe them a lot more than could ever be repaid with anything of monetary value. It is with this in mind that we dedicate this yearbook to you, the Seniors, in your last year. We are proud of you and we are deeply grateful. Our appreciation cannot be expressed in words, and we realize how insignificant thank you can be when compared to what you've given us. Seniors, all we can say is that we will remember your friendship forever. Now, as you leave us, with you go our prayers and best wishes for success and happiness in your new careers. We know that, as always, you will be a fine example of our school. The expansion of the school buildings and the teaching staff has enabled our school to keep up with the ever-changing demands SCHOOL BOARD RAY SURBROOK ARTHUR REED Trustee Trustee SAMUEL LEHMAN JEAN THOMSON KENNETH HOUSE PICSNCHI Secretary Treasurer Have you ever noticed our school monument? If you have, you know that it is a beautiful erection of which we can all be proud. It was presented to our school bythe 1958-1959 Student Council. They realized the need for a monu- ment for our school as we became larger and larger. Each and everyone of us wants to advertise our school, and there is no better way to do it than by a sign. Our monument is a sign of our existence of which we are all proud. The money for the monument was raised through the magazine subscription drive, which you helped put over by your zealous efforts. That means that each of you in the school shared a part in erecting the monument. Each of us is represented in the monument, for we are the school. 4 w 1 rs 1 szs'fma?ia:::f , ::Vi'ZESI?:'IiE5.E?'T5qf:ii-Emi?:Fifi:12'IQ2?!55!:k:2FI'E::1Sfii'w,iL5?ifE'ES2'!?fsz5fiEif. 'E!5i' ADMINISTRATION With the fine guidance of our adminis- tration, which consists of Mr. Willard Kid- der, our superintendent, and Mr. Fred Heuer our principal, we have progressed through the year successfully and happily. These two men have worked hard to better our school academically, sports-wise, and socially. We have appreciated their fine guidance and help throughout this school year. Mrs. Allison, secretary to Mr. Kidder, Mrs. Foster, secretary to Mr. Heuer, with Mrs. Lehman as general office manager, have been of great assistance to our ad- ministration as well as to the students. 3 E ELIZABETH RALYA KEITH RALYA RICHARD RAMSEY STEPHEN RUTAN Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Arts Michigan State University 320116101 of SCiSI1CS Michigan State University Master of Arts Bachelor of Science WCSISIY1 MiChig21'1 Michigan State University UHiVSrSity JOHN SPENCER MARY SPRAGUE Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Science Michigan State University Central Michigan University NADINE SPROWL FRANK STOTT MAVIS SWYMELER LINDON WOOD Bachelor of Science Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Arts Michigan State University MZSICI of Arts Michigan State University Michigan State University Eastern Michigan University PROM GRADUATION Council President, Bruce Bachelder Senior Class Play, Pygmalion 'Q- fm., man, Hwmr Kim- ARTHUR JAMES BARSON A man among men, but mostly among women, Band 1,2,3, Thespian Club 2,3, Baseball 1,2, Football 3, Basketball 1,2,3,4 EDWIN ARTHUR BEVIER The world belongs to the energetic, but after all, who wants the world, Track 2, 3, 4, Thespian Club 4, Librarian 4 JANET DIANE BURDICK Smiling face and twinkling eye, you simply cannot pass her by.
