((ST T November 22, 1963 --a day never to be forgotten. As we grow older we will forget much of what has occurred during our high school years, but this date can never be forgotten or dreamed away, no matter how much we want to block it from our minds. On this day, the bullet of an assassin struck down a man, the 35th President of the United States. There is little we must say about J.F.K. for his life, too short, speaks for him. He was a wonderful man, dedicated to upholding our Constitu- tion and gaining equality for all human beings. He was his own profile in courage. The whole world is poorer because of the loss of this man, but we can all be better Americans because John Fitzgerald Kennedy has passed our way. We have learned what hatred, bitterness, ignorance, and misun- derstanding can do. We have witnessed a tragedy. It took only an instant to teach us, but in this minute space of time a man who had enlightened the world ceased to exist. If the citizens of this country, and of all other nations have been able to gain something from witnessing this tragic event, he will not have died in vain. Let us search for the lesson God was trying to show us through this loss. Let us continue the work of this great man. Accomplishing these deeds would be the greatest trib- ute we could make to him. Thus, to the memory of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, we proudly and most humbly dedicate our yearbook. Your memory is a keepsake With which we'll never part. God has you in his keeping, We will always have you in our hearts.' 4
