MR. WILLIAM S. STINSON DEDICATION In this, our graduation year, the Senior Class of Northwest High School takes great pride in dedicating The 1961 Chieftain to you, Mr. Stinson. In the past three years, you have helped us in many ways. Through your great understanding of students’ problems, you have always been ready and willing to advise us in reaching our goal of becoming good citizens and contributing members of the community. This relationship has established a lifelong friendship between you and our class. In the past thirty-three years you have served our schools both as a teacher and as a principal. Your integrity and sound judgement have done much in making our commun- ities better places in which to bring up Christian families. All these qualities have molded a man who could never be surpassed. 4

A FORWARD As our four years at Northwest High School come to an end, we, the Class of 1961, wish to express our thanks to the administration and to the faculty for the encouragement and guidance which they have freely given us. We will long re- member the many wonderful experiences we have had in creating a proper school spirit through our participation in the clubs and social activities. In the past four years we have gained much which we can carry on into the future, As we take our places in life, we know that our school will always hold a place in our hearts. Our school will be judged, not by size or location, but by the quality and ability of the students who will represent it through the years to come. The senior class of 1961 will strive constantly so that our school will look upon us with pride. To everyone who has helped us to make this period in our life successful and happy, we express our gratitude. 3
