 Time is God's gift to each of us. We all receive the same amount at the beginning of each new day. The way we use this precious gift will affect us not only for the day but also helps shape our future. Mr. Donald Ellis. Mr. Merrill Smyth, a friend of Northwest Georgia High and a member of the Dade County Board of Education, passed away on March 16, 1981. Appointed to the Board in April of 1971. Mr. Smyth served as Chairman of the Board for the past five years. During his term in office, Dade Elemen- tary School was constructed, Davis Middle School was ren- ovated, Northwest Georgia High School came into exis- tence. and the NWGHS Phys- ical Education building was completed. Mr. Smyth's dedication to the school system of Dade Coun- ty will be remembered and ap- preciated by the faculty and student body of Northwest Georgia High School.
