The Northwest Community College Choir was composed of 20 to 25 mixed voices during the school year 1954-1955. The Choir presented a Christmas concert, and rnade its annual spring tour of schools in the Big Horn Basin. The Powell Community Choir, which includes some 40 singer-s from the community, the college and the high school, was again sponsored by the College. The group performed the American folk opera Down In The Valley by Kurt Weill, on January 24 and 25, and presented an Easter concert in April. The College brass ensemble appeared on the College Christmas concert, and on the annual tour program. ln addition to these group activities the College offered courses in music appreciation, theory, music education, history of music, and private lessons in piano and voice.
