...,i r Mn 4 ' -nunnnudll' vmqwuanssw g school patio, WINTER the with a blanket was deserted when school was cancelled. lt? Snow-Yuki painted by some practical joker on a big billboard near Northwest, reflected the feelings of City residents who suffered through the harshest winter weather since 1930. On three days, January 17 and Feb- ruary 9-10 school was cancelled. The parking lot, with seven inches of snow combined with ice the first week of February, was impassable part of the time. Across the City, people unprepared for continuous below-freezing temper- atures, rushed to stores for scarves, hats and gloves. But cars were the biggest hassle, students were trapped without wheels. SLEDS, dug out of family attics, got plenty of use this year. Sophomores Bill Albert, Flhonda Davy and Roger Cline enjoy a free day. Li, Z Q thc Snow! 2 s -tt, Nr PQ? '--Tip' t. . -A5 K .
