U. 4 . 1 -A ,A ,1 ,1., ,. I f, F OREWORD Whatever title a student body chooses to become known by reveals the vital character of that group. The sobriquet Knight and Lady was not chosen lightly or on impulse. Many, many names were offered and considered. Members of that very first student council had the difficult task of lead- ing a student body with long estab' lished traditions into a void-a com- pletely new school, unknown, un- named. Selecting a path through a maze of untried adventures, they realized there were vast implications in the title Knight and Lady. But there was also a challenge. It was this that fascinated them. Lowerclassmen zealously committed themselves to become worthy of the best the name implied. They pledged to encourage future students, by their example, to do likewise. Today, five years later, Northwest Claasefn has accomplished the first year of its second generation-or four-year program. She can point proudly to her grad- uates. The probability of becoming like that which they admired and strove to emulate, has achieved mag- nificent results. From the fellowship and friendship, socially and scholastically, enjoyed at Northwest Classen students discover goals toward which to direct their energies. Names and incidents may sometimes be forgotten, but the meaning of being worthy of the title, Knight and Lady, is a substantial pilot. i kv xl el 'sl ii, 5 I N : N J N.- M is ...r s, U 4 'K Q X ,xi A , ,B 'T x xx
