One year of physical education is required for gradua- tion. The athletic program is designed to train in ideals of teamwork, sportsmanship Stu- dents are encouraged to acquire enough pro- ficiency in individual sports to provide a source of recreation and pleasure after they leave high school. No one sport receives special emphasis. There are classes in team and individual sports. liacilities for the depart- ment, when completed, will include Ll boys and girls gymnasium, tennis courts, baseball, track and football fields, .1 sun and tennis deck and a pool. Intramural sports give each student a Chance to participate in some form of sports.
