God has placed a burden upon the hearts of us at North- west Christian to provide a place where Christian young people can increase in knowledge and grow in favor with men and God. We believe that no true education is possible without God. We also affirm that no subiect matter is taught that does not deal with some phase of creation, therefore, it can not be rightly taught unless glory is given the Creator, and this can only be done by born again, dedicated teachers. Our hearts desire for every student is that he shall find God's will for his life and then live in the center of that will, Fully surrendered and dedicated so that when he has left our school and God calls him he can say, Here am I Lord, send me. Mr . Myron Blackwell Mr. Blackwell, Principal Mr. Myron Blackwell was born and raised on a small farm near Alexandria, Minnesota. His high school education was interrupted by illness. After a move to Lebanon, Oregon with his family, his health improved enough to complete his high school education . Upon graduation from high school, he entered the University of Oregon intent upon a medical training. He became a Christian dur-ing his first year in the university. To obtain sufficient funds for completing his medical training, he began teaching school. Mr. Blackwell became superintendent and music supervisor of schools in Crestville, Oregon. Later in Halfway, Oregon he organized a band which placed first in the state and second high nationally. The year following he took the position of instrumental instructor in the Cottage Grove, Oregon schools, which was succeeded by a coaching job at Elmira, Oregon. Mr. Blackwell felt the call of God into Christian Education. In i955 he accepted a position with Christian Academy in Salem, Oregon. Then in 1956 the Lord opened the way for his present position of Principal of the Northwest Christian Schools.
