Pink Ladies, YUK, Yuk, Yuk, Jr Prom, Beach and the gas station Carolyn Fernandes ' busy schedule began with her Sophomore Service Project where she volunteered at Mountain View Convalescent Home working with the eld- erly. As though the required time was not enough, she went beyond that and became a volunteer and continued on to get a part-time job there. Her reasons for staying were because she became attached to certain people and she found the entire experience very rewarding. Hav- ing a definite interest in nursing, she continued this same type of work throughout most of the summer. Carolyn found the same feeling of satisfaction senior year while tutoring youngsters as an active member of the tutoring system. Carolyn has a special knack for getting along well with all people. She is a member of the Social Actions Committee, and organized the entire clothing and toy drive. Along with these other contributions, she has a part-time job and even finds time to volunteer in the Emergency Room at Mount Sinai Hospital once a week. Finding a more sincere and caring person would be a dif- ficult task. is
