Like any other sport, dancing requires a lot of time, effort, hard work, and dedication. Carol practices at least five times a week. For the past three summers Carol has taken her studies to New York Although it is grueling, Carol finds dancing very rewarding. Sean Hurley is an excellent swimmer. He started swim- ming over eleven years ago, when he was only seven. Presently, he is on both the Bloomfield and Capital Region Aquatic Clubs. For the last four years Sean has been among the top five swimmers in the state under the freestyle and backstroke divisions. In 1979 he was cho- sen as a member of the freestyle All Star Team. Last summer Sean went to the Richmond, Virginia meet, where he placed first in the one hundred meter backstroke. This honor is just one of the many others he has earned in previous tournaments. What does it take to become this good? Sean must train a minimum of two hours daily, ten months out of the year. He intends to use this experience in college where he plans to swim competitively.
