Salute to Amer Salute to America was the theme of Homecoming 1987. This year was the eooth year celebration ofthe sign- ing of the Constitution. Mark Fores- ter, announcer during Homecoming, was dressed like Uncle Sam. George Washington was played by Doug Turner and the Statue ofLiberty was Mollie Harmon. The cheerleaders and various students participated in the halftime show. After the skit, Mark Forester an- nounced the Homecoming Queen and her attendants which included Felicia Miller, Freshman attendant, Jennifer Brinson, Sophomore atten- dantg Tera McClorey, Junior atten- dant, and the 1987 Homecoming Queen was Miss Traci Kirkpatrick, who sponsored Willie Knox. Following the game, the Varsity Cheerleaders held a dance in the gym. The gym was decorated with red, white, and blue balloons and crepe paper.
