n J.V. CHEE 1 Sweat, hot days and hard work really paid off for the Junior Varsity I beth Harwood, and .Jennifer Allison. Cheerleaders this year when they attended camp at Campbell l.lni- -i ff versity. The cheerleaders spent a week practicing and competing for differ- ent titles. The squad was nominated for The Award of Excellence. They re- ceived superior ribbons every night and won the spirit stick one night. Sophomore Leslie lvlorgan was nomi- nated for All American Cheerleader. Since camp the cheerleaders have been very busy. They competed at Carowinds in a cheer-off and ranked in the top ten out of about sixty squads.
