U VARSITY h53Ve QlV9n the WOPC15 uspipitn and Dione, Kimberly, Jodie, and Katha LPVVAJ are all smiles after Varsity won the Award of Excellenc This year's Varsity Cheerleaders Determination new meaning. lVlany things about this year will be re- membered. The never-ending summer practices preparing for the Universal Cheerleading Association Camp held at Wake Forest and the National Cheerleading Association Camp at Campbell University will not be easily forgotten. Practice paid off and the girls came away with num- erous first place ribbons, a Superior trophy, two Spirit sticks, and the overall Award of Excellence. This qual- ified them for the National Cheerlead- ing Association Championship held in Dallas, Texas. Nicole Sherrill was chosen to compete in the All American Cheerleader Award. The girls worked hard all year plan- ning pep rallies, bon fires, Homecom- ing halftime show and Homecoming Dance, sharing the responsibility of NCA NA Spirit Week, and cheering at varsity football and basketball games.
