I am looking forward to coaching this group next year because they are true winners. Coach lvlills lvlost Valuable Field Rerformer which is a great honor When Coach lVlills was asked what was his most memorable moment in girls' track this year, he replied, The County lvleet, in The 'l SS7 Girls' Track Team, cus throw. lvlichelle Rhyne was cho- away in the field which the Lady Tro- jans beat Concord The Lady Trojans had a regular sea- son of five and two in the County Championship. They were also fourth at Conference lvleet which was held at East Rowan l-ligh School. lvlichelle Rhyne and Roxanne Davis were the only two All-Conference performers. Nlichelle Rhyne and Roxanne Davis continued to the State lvleet which was held at N.C. State Llniversity on lVlay SS, 'I SS7. lvlichelle Rhyne won the State shotput and Roxanne Davis broke the sectional record in the dis- l-ligh by two points and also when lvlichelle Rhyne received the honor of 'State Champ.' lVlark Forester Depth provided this year's Trojan Tracksters with an undefeated regular season as well as a County and Conference championship. Also, talent and desire provided the Trojans with sec- ond place in the State Sectionals, fourth place in the Albemarle Invitational, and fourth place in the State Regionals. The Track Team finished C31 st in the State IVleet. The year started off with a bang as the Trojans won over arch rival Concord by a mar- gin of SSVE points. The Trojans scored a victory in both the 'l SDD-meter run and SEDC-meter wan-if Af Front Flow: Silisa Caldwell, Angie l-lopper, Nesha Fleming, Alisha Dixon, Bebe Rucker.
