Photo by Grass Teams come and go at Northwest, fading into vague memories, but Coach Arden Ray will never be forgotten for his contributions to Trojan football. It is not often that a student body has such an opportunity to express its appreciation to a teacher and coach for a job well-done. Coach Flay is a man who, if given thirty men, would make an army to be feared. In seven years at Northwest he won forty-nine games, averaging seven wins a season, quite an enviable record as head coach. To you, Coach Ray, we say Thanks

Northwest Acquires A New Sport. . Unfortunately, high school wrestling has not always received the recognition due such an exciting and com- plex sport. However, the situation is changing, and Northwest Cabarrus' wrestling team is doing all it can to promote interest in the sportg we can be especially proud of our young, inspired grapplers. These young men have earned the respect and admiration of the student body through their hard work and fine performances. With some tough juniors returning plus good sophomores and freshmen moving up, the Trojan wrestlers are definitely to be reckoned with next year. 176 i
