Award Winning Trojans These students have received awards or honors for their outstan- ding characteristics or services to the school. Graduation marshals are chosen from the junior class on the basis of high scholastic averages. Op- timist awards are presented each year to a senior boy and girl who possess outstanding qualities of citizenship and service to the school. All other awards or honors are based on the individual's leadership abilities, personality, and achievement. Susan Babb was chosen as the Northwest delegate to Girls' State at UNC-G. Randy Huffman, Ricky Bollinger, and Jeff Dotson were selected to serve as Junior Rotarians for Northwest. 112 Girls' State l ti Governor's School f' ' x X Ron Seamon and Tammy Frye attended Governor's School. In dition to their study of psychology and philosophy, Tammy dance and Flon studied natural science and served on Boys' State Flicky Bollinger, Eric Luther, and Gary Holbrooks were selected to represent Northwest at Boys State which took place at Wake Forest University.
