Northwest stood ready as we pre- pared to breathe life into its character. We learned as under- studies that our roles, seemingly unimportant, were integral parts of an unfolding plot that we could scarcely begin to comprehend. As with the uncertainty and eager anticipation of an opening night, we made our debut as Freshmen. Soon there were our first cast parties- the Freshman Semi- Formal, the Sophomore Cookout, and then the Junior-Senior under our direction. As our repertoire grew, we grew in motivation and tech- nique. We worked behind the scenes as well as in the spotlight, watching the first ballgames, boosting club memberships, and introducing our traditions. 70 We learned our parts well and deservingly took our place as the stars. Standing at last in the limelight, there came the realization that a new act was about to begin. With the graduation of the class of 1970, goes the last of the original cast members ofNorthwest Cabarrus l-ligh School, pioneers in the dramatic Trojan spirit. There seems to be a Hnality about our last curtain call, but we are anxious to begin a new script tomorrow.
