One area is concerned with biological sciences, and the other deals with the concepts of the universe. Courses under those two categories include: Physical Science, Biology, Advanced Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Choice of emphasis in either area of this curriculum is left solely to the judgement of the individual student. However, it is the intention of the science department to offer such a varied and flexible schedule of scientific study that even those students who are not preparing for college will gain skills and understanding of the basic sciences. These skills will help the student develop feelings of secur- ity suitable to any phase oflife, and help him to grasp a deeper understanding of manis role in an everchanging technical world.
