Mr. Robert Kluttz was the new J.V. coach for the 169-170 season The 1969 Northwest Junior Varsity football team fought hard this past year. Mr. Robert K1uttz,tl1e new J.V. coach, headed a team mostly composed of freshmen. Mr. Kluttz and his boys proved themselves worthy of all the praise they received as they finished with a 4-5 record. The Junior Trojans showed themselves strong on both offense and defense. Offensively, the Baby Trojans scored a total of 133 points for an average of 15 points per game. On the other hand, they only gave up 95 points for an average of 10.5 points per game. The J. V. football team played all schools in the Rocky River Conference. They took wins from Forest Hills, West Stanly, Sun Valley and South Stanly. They lost to Monroe, Mt. Pleasant, Piedmont, Central Cabarrus, and Parkwood. The purpose of Junior Varsity football is to ready young athletes for varsity sports.
