Under the direction of Mr. Richard Keasler, seventy-four voices once again strived for a year of perfection gained through long hours of practice. The choir made numerous performances for religious and civic organizations as well as concerts for the student body. Without the excellent perform- ances of accompanist, Kim Cook, the choir's endeavors could never have been a success. Including the one hour of class time each day, section practice was held weekly to help the group master the choral techniques necessary for a superior choir. This year the chorus was selected to participate in the Wake Forest homecoming halftime show as well as the annual State Choral Festival held at North Mecklenburg High School. Highlights of the year 1969-70 were the presentation of a combined chorus and band Christmas concert, the annual Christmas caroling party, and the Spring Concert. Es 1 70 ll il I ,
